What Democrats And Liberals Need To Do Right Now. It’s Simple

All Democrats and progressives need to do right now is to keep reminding everyone else exactly what Republicans are doing.

• They’ve already violated the Constitution they claim to love so much.

• They’ve reneged on the promised $100 billion in cuts and on transparency.
• Their priorities, given that these have been their first acts, were to take away voting rights from American territories, tell the president he shouldn’t have “czars” (a term coined by the press and something every president going back to FDR has done), and argue against paying our debts.

• They’ve broken their own rules on transparency and reform.
• Health care repeal hurts America: It will add $230 billion to the deficit according to their much-ballyhooed CBO. It would mean, as Greg Sargent sums up:

…insurance companies will once again have the right to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions, drop or limit coverage if you become sick, and charge women higher premiums than men. Seniors will lose critical prescription drug savings and free preventive care under Medicare.

They have shown their hand. There is no agenda, other than to undo what’s done, whether it’s good for the country or not. They can’t even say where they’d cut after two years of whining about cuts.  Yes it’s simple, all liberals have to do is shine the light on what the newly-elected Republicans are doing.
