Palin Reacts To Latest Verbal Gaffe By Attacking Media And Obama; But Wrong Word Is The Least Of Her Problems

Sarah Palin took to one of her two favorite one-way communication mediums to decry those who underscored her latest verbal gaffe by attacking the media and President Obama for his verbal gaffes (h/t Political Wire). On her Facebook page, Palin mentions the already-hackneyed “57 states” gaffe, and says she doesn’t have enough time to mention all the faux pas of Joe Biden.

However, it isn’t her statement that North Korea is an ally that should be of such concern to anyone who takes a potential Palin presidential run seriously.  That can easily be overlooked as an error anyone could make, much like the “57 states” Obama goof.  It is the word soup of mumbo jumbo that is typical of Palin’s responses when she is asked about policy issues that is significant.  When asked by Glenn Beck on his radio show what we should do about North Korea, here is her reply:

“Well, North Korea, this is stemming from I think, a greater problem when we’re all, you know, sittin’ around askin’, ‘Oh, no, what are we gonna do,’ and we’re not having a lotta faith that the White House is gonna come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is North Korea is gonna do, so this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy, but obviously some stand with our North Korean allies we’re bound to by freedom; we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies. And to my North Korea, well, we’re not gonna reward bad behavior and we’re not gonna walk away and we do need to press China to do more to improve pressure on North Korea.”

Mistakenly saying “North” instead of “South” is the least of her problems.
