9/11 Is A Cottage Industry For Conservatives

Conservatives, having already turned 9/11 into a national holiday, have also found it to be a profit center (h/t Think Progress). For between $73.75 and $225 you can see Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin in Alaska. There is no indication of where the proceeds go. Ralph Reed’s “Faith and Freedom Conference” is $95, and features an all-star, all-right line-up of Brent Bozell, Tony Perkins, Rich Lowry, Tucker Carlson, Grover Norquist, Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-VA), Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), and Red State’s Erick Erickson. Newt Gingrich is putting out a DVD in conjunction with 9/11 called “America at Risk,” a bargain at just $19.95 plus $4 shipping. But, then again, it’s just a DVD with no chance to meet and greet your favorite stars; yet, it’s a small price to pay to be warned about the Islamic effort to impose Sharia law all over the world.  The music alone in the promotional video should be enough to scare the bejezus out of you.
