The Bizarre Campaign Of Delaware Tea Party Candidate Christine O’Donnell

Christine O’Donnell faces Senator Mike Castle in Delaware’s Republican primary for U.S. Senate, but she has come under intense attack from the Republican Party (h/t Think Progress). The Delaware GOP put out a press release headlined, “O’Donnell Campaign Implodes Under National Spotlight.”

As the facts continue to emerge regarding perennial candidate Christine O’Donnell’s reckless and hypocritical behavior, I wanted to highlight some of the key media coverage her dishonest campaign has received over the last 24 hours…

Key here is an interview O’Donnell did with WGMD radio host Dave Gaffney, who at one time was an O’Donnell supporter (available here). Republicans don’t even list O’Donnell as a candidate on its website, and one wonders what the GOP would do if she actually won.

O’Donnell’s campaign put out a despicable smear video against Castle accusing him of cheating on his wife with a man.

And she some of O’Donnell’s comments are just bizarre, such as what she said to The Weekly Standard.

I would be a fool to be pressured into disclosing where I live, when I know that the stakes are even higher this time. What makes me think they wont do the same distasteful things they did in 2008 when the stakes are even higher, when we’re even more viable. I mean come on, John, you’re a class act. You don’t want to—you know that this is a security issue. You know what they’re capable of.
