Alaska U.S. Senate Candidate Joe Miller Says His Campaign Is Funded By The Lord

Even though the Alaska GOP Tea Party candidate says God is funding his campaign, and that he is a Washington outsider, he’s hired a high-powered DC fundraiser to bring in the bucks.

Miller, a Fairbanks attorney who narrowly ousted Senate Conference Vice Chairwoman Lisa Murkowski in last month’s GOP primary, has tapped Republican fundraiser Mike Gula, whose clients include GOP Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.) and Richard Shelby (Ala.).

Up until now, the supposed anti-Washington candidate depended on the good graces of the Lord for such unseemly things as money.

“So far the Lord has always provided the money in this grass roots campaign, and this time God is going to use you to provide!” Miller’s campaign told supporters, inviting them to attend a fundraiser with Miller and his wife. “It cost alot of money to run a clean campaign and we all know that Joe’s campaign isn’t receiving any monies from corporations or from out of State entities.”

Word is, however, that anything located on K Street in the nation’s capital is “out of State.”
