Ted Olson On How Same-Sex Marriage Promotes Conservative Values

Ted Olson, the conservative solicitor general in the George W. Bush administration, argued along with Al Gore’s lawyer in the 2000 election, David Boies, for the overturning of California’s Prop 8.  This morning he furthered the case that gay marriage promotes conservative values.

“We believe that a conservative value is stable relationships and stable community and loving individuals coming together and forming a basis that is a building block of our society, which includes marriage,” said Olson.
