John Stuart Mill As Nostradamus?

John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) was a British philosopher and civil servant. After reading this quote, I’m convinced he was also a prophet of modern American politics:

“I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that it is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it.”

BirthersHitler/Obama comparisons? (Hitler executed 17 million innocent people) Demonization of healthcare? Sarah Palin? Simply stupid.
