What The Right Really Wants

After days and days of following the right whining and crying over losing and not getting their way anymore, I think I’ve stumbled across what they really want but don’t dare say so.  Since the cons are so into projection

Psychology .

a. the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.

It wasn’t all that hard to figure out.
What the right really wants for America is a far right, authoritarian dictatorship.
The projection part comes in when they accuse liberals, and especially President Obama, of trying to impose this. However, as talk show host Randi Rhodes says, “Watch what the conservatives accuse us of because that’s exactly what they are doing.”
Think of it, a dictatorship for the cons would be like them having their own candy store with an insatiable sweet tooth.  Why?
  1. They’d never be threatened again with being out of power.
  2. They’d be able to finally have all the rights apply to them alone and we liberals wouldn’t have any.
  3. They’d get their way all of the time.
  4. They’d be able to discriminate against anyone at will with no pesky Constitution or ACLU to stop them.
CONSERVATIVE PARADISE!!
Oh, they’ll howl that it isn’t so and they just LOVE democracy – but that’s only when they win.  Their current statements and their history shows that the cons have always been for rights for them and denial of them for everyone else.  When we lose an election it’s  “the will of the people.”  When they lose, it’s….TYRANNY!….SOCIALISM!….THE END OF AMERICA!
It wasn’t always this way with the conservatives, but having been taken over by neoconfederates, the Religious Right, Teabaggers and other assorted nuts, it surely is now.  We aren’t going to fight them with reason or debate.  All we can do is remember what the “movement conservatives” really want and defeat them early and often.  Obama and the Democrats letting you down?  Look at what’s waiting in the wings to replace them.
Get energized and remember in November.
