Patty Murray’s Opponent Not Anti-Abortion Enough For Washington Life Coalition

An extreme anti-abortion group, the Washington Life Coalition, is attacking Republican senatorial candidate Dino Rossi because he favors keeping abortion legal for women who are victims of rape or incest, or whose lives are in danger.  The have put out an ad as extreme as their views.

The video, called “Little Emily,” depicts a little girl who would “like to be hugged by her mom and be tucked snug into her own little bed.”

But instead, the ad says, “they are going to execute her” at a Planned Parenthood clinic, because her father “has been accused of rape.”

“And Dino Rossi says that’s OK,” the ad concludes. “Send Dino a message.”

Mary Emanuel, a spokeswoman for the coalition, said abortion opponents are weary of Republican candidates taking their support for granted.
