The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman opines that it makes sense for Sarah Palin to be leery about her new neighbor, writer Joe Maginnis, who is working on a book about her rise to fame and glory. They also believe that fences (especially 14-foot ones) make good neighbors.  Troubling however, is the last paragraph of their op-ed, which reminds McGinnis that deadly force is legal there. Finally, those who are fond of Joe McGinnis might remind him (if he doesn’t already know) that Alaska has a law that allows the use of deadly force in protection of life and property.

While accurate, was this reminder necessary?
