The National Republican Senatorial Committee denies that its attack ad on Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher, who is running to replace retiring Senator George Voinovich, shows Fisher pleasuring himself (via Mediaite).

The viral video shows a shirtless Fisher, sitting with eyes closed, set to suggestive music, uses wavy distortion of the photo and salaciously suggest that he “get the job done.” Ahem. But honestly? It really just needs to be seen to be believed.

The NRSC says the video “has the full approval” of its chair, Texas Senator John Cornyn.

The image of the shirtless Fisher came from a documentary about the 2006 race for governor by Fisher’s son, Jason, and his friend, John Intrater. They sneaked into Fisher’s study late one night, where a tired and shirtless candidate was hunched over his computer. Fisher wanted them to leave, and later tried to have the shirtless scene cut, embarrassed by it. But the filmmakers refused, and won out.
