Facebook Group Asks God To Kill Obama

Social networks are yet another venue for angry Americans to vent their hate.  Tom has a post about vile Tweeters threatening Nancy Pelosi and others.  And on Facebook there’s a group asking the Lord to do for Barack Obama what He did for Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and “Patrick Swayzie”. (Does spell check not exist among tea partiers and other Bama Bashers?)

DEAR LORD, THIS YEAR YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTOR, PATRICK SWAYZIE. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTRESS, FARAH FAWCETT. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE SINGER, MICHAEL JACKSON. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW, MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT IS BARACK OBAMA. AMEN

Even more troubling is that more than half a million Facebook users joined the group and “Like This” and are obviously willing to have their names and photos adorn the page.
