Scott McClellan And David Frum: Tea Parties “Outrageous,” “Bad For GOP”
Former Bush Administration members Scott McClellan and David Frum seized an opportunity on CNN’s Larry King Live to condemn the Tea Party movement. Former Bush speechwriter David Frum stated the group “wasn’t helpful” to the GOP. Former Press Secretary Scott McClellan (pictured) said, “[The Tea Party is] a divisive protest movement that plays too much to people’s fears and hatred.”
Meanwhile, Nancy Pfotenhauer, a GOP strategist who has worked for David Koch, the oil tycoon funding those organizing the Tea Parties, lauded the movement as “phenomenal.”
