Tea Party Member Threatens To Kill Rep’s Children Over Health Care Vote

In response to the passage of health care reform, Tea Party activists have upped their rhetoric to include despicable threats against children. Last August, windows were smashed at Democratic headquarters in Denver causing at least $10,000 worth of damage (pictured). More recently, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’s Tucson office was vandalized.  And last Thursday, a shocking recorded message was sent to Rep. Louise Slaughter’s (D-NY) campaign office. Assassinate is the word they used . . . toward the children of lawmakers who voted yes.

The FBI is investigating.

This is sick; morally, ethically and mentally.  I have no words to properly convey how utterly, remarkably disgusting I find this type of behavior.  “Shocking” is as close as I can get without consulting a psychotherapist for input on how deranged a person must be to even consider scare tactics (or worse) of this nature.

How sad and disturbing it is to witness “The Party of No” crossing the line from “The Party of Hate” to “The Party of Violence.”  When do I get to stop asking the question, “Where does it end?”
