Louisiana Student Sent Home For Wearing Colts Jersey

Maurepas High School students were given permission to wear Saints jerseys and t-shirts instead of the usual school uniforms, but Brandon Frost, who is from Indianapolis, wore a Colts jersey instead.

But Frost didn’t even have time to sit down in his first-period English class before the principal of his Livingston Parish school yanked him out of class and told him he was being sent home for the day because of his choice in attire.

Frost and his family said that the decision was unfair, since the teenager’s fellow students were allowed to support their team, and the Colts jersey hadn’t caused any problems with others at the school.

“If they can wear their jerseys I should be able to wear mine,” he said.

The ACLU is taking up the case, and has sent a letter to the school principal asking him to clear Frost’s record.
