Palin Suggests A Constitutional Law Expert Is Not Qualified To Be President

Sarah Palin continues to attack President Obama, this time pushing the right-wing meme that he’s soft on terrorism, with all the worn-out talking points, among them:

Now he must back off his reckless plan to close Guantanamo, begin treating terrorists as wartime enemies not suspects alleged to have committed crimes, and recognize that the real nature of the terrorist threat requires a commander-in-chief, not a constitutional law professor.“

Yes Barack Obama was once a professor of constitutional law.  George W. Bush was once a baseball team owner. Should we say, “the real nature of a terrorist threat requires a commander-in-chief, not the owner of a ballclub”?  Sarah Palin was once a contestant in a a beauty pageant, so does that mean….well, you get the idea.  God forbid we should have a commander-in-chief who has a deep understanding of constitutional law.
