Mary Matalin Claims Bush Inherited 9/11 From Clinton

Amazingly, conservatives continue to beat the drum that every negative happened on a Democratic watch, and every positive on a Republican one, rewriting history.  The recession: Clinton’s fault; the newest almost-depression: Obama’s. And 9/11, which occurred nine months into the Bush presidency, is somehow now on Clinton’s watch.

MATALIN: I was there, we inherited a recession from President Clinton and we inherited the most tragic attack on our own soil in our nation’s history. And President Bush dealt with it and within a year of his presidency within a comparable time, unemployment was at 5 percent.
