Blanche Lincoln To Vote “Yes” On Senate Health Care Bill; Dems Have 60 Votes

Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln says she’ll vote with the rest of the Democrats to proceed to full-scale debate on the Senate version of the health care bill, which will begin soon after Thanksgiving.

She said it was important that the Senate begin debate on a critical issue.

The centrist Democrat was the lone holdout. Facing unanimous Republican opposition, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid needed the 58 Democrats and two independents to vote to move forward on the sweeping bill to remake the nation’s health care system.

It looks like Republicans like Lindsey Graham, who said the bill was “dead on arrival“, were wrong.
