Georgia FM Is Now “Obama Radio”

WPUP in Athens, Georgia has a new format: playing songs based on what’s on the president’s iPod.

 

Cox Media Group’s classic rock “Bulldog 103.7” WPUP, Athens has flipped to “Obama Radio” in a stunt purportedly featuring a mix of music on the President’s iPod, mixed with Hawaiian music and a dose of Obama speeches. Listen HERE.


In the radio business this is known as “stunting,” a practice used when you do something transitional before a new format debuts.
