Lindsey Roeder, Wife Of Accused Tiller Killer Scott, Calls The Radio Show

Lindsey Roeder, the ex-wife of the accused killer of abortion provider George Tiller, called my radio show Tuesday night.  It was on the heels of an interview with anti-abortion activist Dave Leach, who supports what Scott Roeder is accused of doing, and filed a brief in his case.  Leach’s contention is that Roeder won’t get a jury trial and is being railroaded.

Contrary to Leach’s claim, Lindsey says Scott will get a jury trial.  She says he was not shocked when she learned her ex-husband was the accused killer of Tiller,  and that he supported the actions of another anti-abortion murderer, Paul Hill.  Says he wasn’t that way when she married him, “He was an everyday fun-loving guy.” Things changed in 1992 when he became interested in evangelist Robert Tilton. After that he began to object to paying taxes, and that was where his new life began.

Lindsey says she wasn’t always pro-choice, but she is now.  They have a son together who is having difficulty coping with what’s happened to his dad. Their son saw Roeder a couple of days before the shooting.
