Nancy Pelosi Doesn’t Hate Patriotic Songs (Or America) After All

As it turns out, Nancy Pelosi had nothing to do with changing the music-on-hold from patriotic American songs to jazz.  It was the Chief Administrative Officer’s office that wanted to do a pilot program to test different kinds of music.  The spokesman for CAO Daniel Beard (right), Jeff Ventura, spoke to Think Progress to clear the matter up and told them:

The music was changed during recess as a pilot program in an attempt to offer offices a choice of hold music. […]

This had nothing to do with the leadership — not in the beginning or the final outcome.

There was a patriotic CD in the system. They decided to take it out and try another CD. The reaction was negative, so they put the original one back in.  Nothing to do with Pelosi. End of story.
