A rant four months ago where El Rushbo declared he was through with New York, and would lead the way out because of high taxes, has not resulted in that promise being kept, reports Jeff Bercovici of AOL’s DailyFinance.com.

When I attempted to contact Limbaugh to ask him about his relocation plans, I was directed to [“chief of staff” Kit] Carson, who told me he’d forwarded my remarks to his boss, to no avail. “All I can tell you is, I put the question into him, and I got nothing back,” Carson said.

Alas, a search of real-estate databases failed to turn it up. Carson had no comment on the condo, either, but a Manhattan real-estate broker assures me that it would almost certainly appear in the listings if it were indeed on the market.

Limbaugh said back then that New York was an “escape valve” in case there are Florida hurricanes, but that he’d seek an alternate venue in another no-income tax state like Texas. Face it, Rush. New York: You know you love it.
