Newt: Obama Has “Already Failed” On the Economy

Newt Gingrich, at a GOP fundraiser, says Obama’s plan to fix the economy has “already failed.” It reminds me of how Republicans used to accuse Democrats of “talking down the economy” when the GOP was in power, only to do the same thing, even at the beginning of the Obama administration.

But according to former Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, Gingrich may be a “fabulous dinner speaker, full of ideas and entertainment,” but will not be the Republican nominee in 2012.  Fleischer also has backed off some of his earlier praise of Sarah Palin.
