Utah Attorney General Mistakenly Twitters His Candidacy For Senate

Utah Attorney General Bob Shurtleff thought we was sending a private text message about an upcoming official announcement.  Instead, he was Tweeting and didn’t know that he had publicly announced a 2010 run for Senator Bob Bennett’s seat.

Apparently thinking that he was sending a private text message, Shurtleff posted that he would be making an official announcement soon, and that he could raise significant amounts of money in Utah, California, New York, Arizona and Texas.

He added, “time to rock and roll!”

The Tweets have since been removed from his account.

You have to wonder what an attorney general does with Twitter.  Can you put up an indictment in 140 characters or less?
