Minefields To Avoid When Dating Meghan McCain

If you’re going out with Meghan McCain, don’t be a huge Obama fan; in fact, don’t be such a big John McCain fan, either.  Meghan says the election ruined her dating life.

“I am not only turned off by people who voted for Barack Obama, but I am also turned off by people that voted for my dad-or more so, obsessive supporters of my dad.”

As for the pick-up scene on Facebook, Meghan will look at the profile of someone who friends her to see how liberal he is, but also:

“When I find my father’s face staring back at me on a potential date’s Facebook page I am equally put off. I don’t want to see my father’s picture near any picture of a guy I am attracted to, especially if we haven’t even had dinner yet.”

Meghan really seems to have her head on straight.  I mean, she can spot right away if someone wants to be with her because of her name.

“Once I went out with a guy who said the food I had ordered was a ‘maverick choice’ and proceeded to tell me, ‘Wow, straight talking must run in the family.’ It’s like someone taking Lisa Marie Presley out on a date and singing ‘Hound Dog’ in the middle of dinner.”

The quickest way to Meghan McCain’s heart: political apathy.  In the meantime, I’ll friend Meghan on Facebook  and see if she accepts.  Luckily for her, I’m married.
