Man Kidnaps Woman And Reads Her Bible Passages

Troy Brisport picked up a woman in Detroit when she told him she had no place to stay.  After falling asleep in his car, Brisport drove her to Toledo and held her hostage in his apartment for four days.

[Shykea] Boykin told police that after she fell asleep her alleged abductor handcuffed her wrists and ankles, gagged her, undressed her and put her in an adult diaper, then read Bible passages, said police Capt. Ray Carroll.

Court documents say Brisport tried to suffocate Boykin with a pillow and blanket, tried to choke her and put a towel over her face. It’s not clear if he read her Deuteronomy: 24:7:

If a man is caught kidnapping one of his brother Israelites and treats him as a slave or sells him, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from among you.
