Bush Response To Mideast Crisis: More Vacation
It’s a crisis Bush pledged to resolve at Annapolis last year, when he said he would broker a deal between Israel and the Palestinians before 2009. Now, the president sends spokespeople out to make statements, but is taking no active role, apparently deciding this is one more problem for his successor.
Not atypically, we have yet to learn anything more about what is keeping the commander in chief busy, though one can assume there is brush to be cleared, trails to be biked, and perhaps even fish to be caught.
A man, after all, has to have his priorities.
