OMG! A Gay Navy Secretary!

There is talk of William White, the COO of the Intrepid Museum Foundation, as the next Navy Secretary. 

This is a civilian position, so rules like “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” don’t apply.

“He would be phenomenal,” said retired Gen. Hugh Shelton, who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1997 to 2001, pointing to Mr. White’s extensive background as a fundraiser for veterans’ and military causes.

Not everyone is as gay-friendly as General Shelton.

“It’s a matter of judgment, and I think that would be very poor judgment on the part of the commander in chief,” said Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, which opposes gays serving in the military. “It would be very demoralizing to the troops.”

You mean men and women in combat are going to question their committment to serve because a gay guy is in charge of one of the branches of the military?  Are they going to sit around moping because of who a potential chief chooses as a partner?  Look how evolved they are over at conservative sites like Lucianne.com, where the idea just blows their little minds.

I’m reminded of Y-M-C-A by the Village People… now we have O-B-A-M-A by the village idiots.

And all this time, I thought sexual orientation, gender, and skin color didn’t matter. Oh, that’s right, to a stupid Lib you’re not suppossed to notice even though you are constantly telling everyone about it and are supposed to pay attention. Only Libs notice stuff like this, most conservatives don’t care. Then again, most Lib women can’t deal with real men, so I guess gay men will have to substitute.
