Senator Ted Stevens Believes Iraq Had A Role In 9-11

In a debate between Stevens and his opponent in his effort to hold on to his seat, Anchorage Mayor Mark Begish, Stevens claimed he has inside information that the rest of us don’t have:

MODERATOR: Knowing what you know now, do you think that the country of Iraq and Saddam Hussein played a role in the 9/11 attack on the United States?

STEVENS: I know more than you think I know, and I believe they did.

BEGICH: I don’t believe they did.

Stevens also referred to the case against him as “prosecutorial misconduct.”
