Here Lies The Republican Campaign

Sarah Palin continues to misrepresent Barack Obama on the campaign trail.  In Tampa this weekend she said, “Just yesterday, the New York Times reported that Barack Obama’s inaugural address is already written. Nine days out from the election, nine days out and yet, uh, it’s already written.”

But what Palin is saying is an Obama-written inaugural address is actually a draft by John Podesta that Podesta published this past summer in his book The Power of Progress, at a time he was an advisor to Hillary Clinton.  And the Times was clear about it being a Podesta exercise, not a speech written by Obama in advance of his election.  It will be interesting to see the level of desperation during the last full week of the campaign.  Will they continue to lie or will they go out with dignity?
