McCain Takes The Low Road After All

It’s already been established that Sarah Palin is McCain’s designated pit bull.  But the gutter is deepening and the campaign seems more desparate as it brings up months-old canards that didn’t make dents in Obama’s popularity during previous attempts to spread them.  Palin is being used to proffer personal attacks on Obama saying for example, that he is guilty of “palling around with terrorists.”


We already know that McCain campaign manager Rick Davis believes this campaign is not about issues.  Allowing Palin to make personal attacks on Obama proves that they want to avoid talking about issues at all costs.  And, given how things are going in the country, who can blame them?


“[Obama] is not a man who sees America as you and I do – as the greatest force for good in the world. This is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country,” she told the applauding crowd.


See? Forget about the issues. Obama sees a different Amerca. (Translation: He hates our country).  The New York Post.  Obama goes after McCain on his health care plan while McCain has Palin out there going after Obama’s personal integrity.  As the conservative New York Post charts it: 

 


Obama did not vote 94 times for higher taxes, and it has been thoroughly researched that his vote on abortion was to protect a woman’s right to choose, when there was already a law in place in Illinois protecting infants who survived botched abortions.


Sadly, the John McCain who said, “I will not take the low road to the highest office in this land,” is allowing his running mate to do it for him.   Just in case you forgot, Senator McCain, here is a reminder:
