It’s O And Joe

  • Joe Biden is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
  • He’s a strong supporter of the United Nations.
  • He voted to give Bush the authority to go into Iraq but has been critical of the war’s prosecution.
  • They’ll attack him for referring to Obama as “articulate” and “clean”.
  • They’ll say he doesn’t represent “change”.
  • They’ll accuse him again of plagiarizing a speech by former British Labor Part leader Neil Kinnock, even though he credited Kinnock in every speech but one.
  • They’ll go after him for having once joked, “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
  • Biden urged John Kerry to choose John McCain as a running mate in 2004, and much will be made of this by Republicans.
  • He’ll be questioned as to why he told me last August:

COLMES: What do you think when people say, “Joe Biden, he’d be strong on security. Great vice president.”

BIDEN: I know. Well, the one that I find fascinating now is I’m apparently everybody’s choice for secretary of state. A very nice thing.
But I am not running for vice president. I would – I would not accept it if anyone offered it to me. The fact of the matter is I would much prefer to stay as the chairman of the foreign relations committee then vice-president.

And he’ll be great on the stump, be a wonderful complement to Obama, and likely be the next Vice President of the United States.
