McCain: Stop Asking Me About Stuff I Don’t Care About

You know, things having to do with cultural issues like gay adoption.  He just doesn’t want to go there.  Asked on This Week whether gays should be able to adopt, McCain said “My answer is, it’s not the reason why I’m running for president of the United States,” McCain said on this week, “My answer is it’s not the reason I’m running for president of the United States.”

Oh, and there’s the issue of another McCain flip-flop, this time on racial preferences.

“I support it,” McCain said when asked by George Stephanopoulos whether he was in favor of a possible ballot measure in Arizona that would end affirmative action there based on race and gender.

The problem: 10 years ago, McCain spoke out against a similar move by the Arizona legislature to put a referendum on the ballot ending such preferences. He called it “divisive.”

But, don’t bother answering those pesky cultural quesitons.  However, if you do, you might want to look up what you said the last time.
