George Bush and John McCain agree on the big ticket items, as clearly laid out in Tuesday’s New York Times.  They’re apart on climate change, energy and oil, federal spending, and arms control.  However, on Iraq, health care, education, taxes, diplomacy (or lack thereof), detainees, and executive power, they are compatible.  Oh, and judges.  Let’s not forget what SCOTUS would look like with a few more Alitos and Scalias on the bench.
