Even McCain Hates This Ad

it’s not enough now to play a game of guilt-by-association with Obama, his pastor and anyone with whom he ever crossed paths. Now, because Bev Perdue, North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, and Richard Moore, the state treasurer, both seeking the Democratic nomination for governor, endorsed Obama, they too are suspect.

So let me get this straight: Obama, and anyone who endorses Obama, is unfit for public office because of what Obama’s preacher once said. How about anyone who ever knew Obama? How about anyone who ever heard of Obama? How about anyone who lives in the same country as Obama? How could we all live in the same country as such a horrible person as Jeremiah Wright? If we had any decency, we’d take off for a far-off land where his kind did not exist. No?

To John McCain’s credit, here is part of a letter he sent to Linda Davies, chair of the North Carolina Republican Party:

“The television advertisement you are planning to air degrades our civics and distracts us from the very real differences we have with the Democrats. In the strongest terms, I implore you to not run this advertisement.”
