What Clinton Really Said

It’d be a great thing if we had an election where you had two people who love this country, who were devoted to the interest of the country and people could actually ask themselves who is right on these issues instead of all this other stuff which always seems to intrude on our politics.

And he wasn’t referring to Obama. At all. He was saying the election should be on the issues, and that would be best for the electoral process. Those who are trying to claim that this somehow is a slap at Obama’s patriotism are once again trying to blame Clinton for something never said and never implied. They’re the very ones guilty of what Clinton is talking about here, avoiding the real issues of this campaign.
