FDT Says NIE Is Meaningless

and it’s just a snapshot of Iran’s intentions at some point in time.

The accuracy of the latest NIE on Iran should be received with a good deal of skepticism. Our intelligence community has often underestimated the intentions of adversaries, including Saddam Hussein’s Iraq and North Korea.

Actually, it’s just the opposite. Weren’t they hyping intelligence that turned out not to be true in the run-up to the war in Iraq? How much do you want to bet that had the NIE supported what the right wingers have been saying, they’d be touting it as gospel?
