The massive rally, with double the 250,000 attendees at Trump’s Friday inaugural, packed the route of a planned march on the White House so densely that there was no room to stage the walk.

Not that it seemed to matter as a new generation of protesters locked arms with veterans, united by their animus for Trump.

“It’s just so hard to see this person in the White House that you didn’t want to see,” said Sophia Feinerman, 16, of Chicago. “I’m just so disappointed that we have someone in the White House who doesn’t respect, among other things, women’s issues.”

    I can’t help but wonder if all these people voted. If they didn’t, they should not be simply forgiven just because they fight him now. If they voted, we wouldn’t have to fight this monster.

      I share your view. Anyone who didn’t vote for the Democratic candidate should just sit down and shut up.

        One of the people on my FB is having fits over how President Obama was treated and keeps telling the rump voters that they should suck it up. However, she always prefaces her comment with “I voted for an independent”. I want to let her know, she and people like her helped to create rump.

        Bernie would have won Michigan, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

      I would prefer to think that if you could accurately count the total number of folks in this country, who came out to march on Saturday, all over this country, it would equal roughly the same number of votes Herr tRumpster NEVER got…
      and MAYBE a few that he did. That’s the part I’d really like to see.

    We had 100,000 here in Portland. Pretty good for a city of 630,000.

    Even more so, considering the weather was absolutely foul. Had the weather cooperated, it could have been twice that.

      We had over 250,000 in Chicago. Initially, it was suppose to be 50,000, then 75,000.
      The march was called off Friday, due to the size, but people came anyway. They had to change the route at the last minute due the size. I WAS THERE, BAD KNEE AND ALL. Was it worth it? Hell, yes. It was a BEAUTIFUL THING. Women and MEN from all walks of life. Rich, poor, young, old, LGBTQ, disabled, global warming, anti racism, BLM, reproductive health, EVERYBODY, EVERYTHING, WAS WELL REPRESENATED and people everywhere. Pink hats, chants, slogans, songs, guitar players. I even seen a cop, with a pink hat on. The buses were full, the trains were full, ALL nationalities and it was peaceful. Outside of Washington DC, I heard, Chicago had the largest march. (You can ALWAYS depend on chi-town to put on the dog and we did.)
