‘Yes we can. Yes we did!’

Posted by | January 11, 2017 06:46 | Filed under: Politics

President Obama gave an emotional farewell address in Chicago.

“You were the change. You answered people’s hopes, and because of you, by almost every measure, America is a better, stronger place than it was when we started,” Obama told an audience in Chicago.

He ended his speech with a similar campaign echo: “Yes we can. Yes we did. Yes we can.”

Obama appeared to tear up while thanking his wife and family toward the end of his address, during which he touted the results of his tenure, noting the lower unemployment rate and millions of new recipients of health insurance covered under the Affordable Care Act, among other achievements.

But as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office in 10 days, Obama warned of the foreign and domestic threats to American democracy, raising the threats of terrorism, economic inequality, and climate change.

maybe a small gesture of thankfulness, kinda like the people of Dodge City gave to Wyatt Earp?

like maybe AF-1 will all necessary associated commodities…fuel, maintenance, full crew available, etc. for his lifetime?

OH! and his bust at Mount Rushmore, directly across from Washington.

      and…

a 1500 ft. statue placed where the shadow of POTUS Obama would stretch across the DC Mall each and every day.

      and…

a statue of POTUS Obama beside lady liberty with one arm embracing her and the other wielding a 2 edged sword.

      and…

an identical statue at Pearl Harbor.

      and….

identical statues at each stateline crossing.

and a big ass crater with a little historical plaque stating:

‘where comey’s armed white racist use to grow cows’.

I say give President Obama all of the above. IMO, he’s been the best president (so far) in my lifetime.
Unfortunately, all he’s accomplished will turn to sh*t once the tangerine man takes office. God help us because, as of 1/201/7, we are royally f*cked.

Something I have noticed over the last 8
years and in the last 2 years. When President Obama talks about what is right, he will say we did this. when he talks about what went wrong he will say I did this.
When trump talks about what is right he will say I did this, when he talks about what is wrong he will say they did this. That is the HUGE difference between the
      President and the boy.

Obama conducted himself with dignity and grace
and lent great stature to the office of the presidency,
I’m proud to have had him as my president and wish
we could keep him for eight more years, Trump will
make W look good and make Obama look like FDR!
