Dylann Roof sentenced to death

Posted by | January 10, 2017 17:08 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly

The killer of nine black congregants at a Charleston church has been sentenced to death.

Roof, who was convicted last year on 33 federal counts for his role in massacring congregants at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, had represented himself in the sentencing portion of his trial.

The 22-year-old Roof told a jury earlier this week that he “had to” commit mass murder against the church, and he didn’t feel any differently about it now than he did back in June 2015, when he brought a handgun into the church and opened fire on the congregation.

Now would be a good time to test that electric chair they keep talking about

i’m torn about this. i don’t believe in the DP, at the same time, i’m not going to cry about it. however, it would have also been nice had to been sentenced to life and have NOT been protected until the day that the bastard dies. gen pop would have been a miserable, painful existence. and likely short. just like dahmer’s.

I feel the same way, I am not a fan of the DP but I have no sympathy for this scum. He will be able to appeal it for years, he is a coward and is afraid to die. This will hang over his head like a ton of bricks until the day they inject the little maggot. I bet the families of the people he killed have prayed for his soul, he took away people that gave to the world while he continues to give hate a voice.

most of those will die before he’s even executed. i’m not going to cry about it either. but, to know the justice he would have received in gen pop would have just been so lovely.

I say unlock the doors for one hour and claim it was a power outage. A big oopsie for a good cause.

The government does not take long to execute you. Ex. Timothy McVeigh. It is the state that drags on for years and years.

I won’t cry because he’s gone, but I am against the death penalty. I’d prefer LWOP.

I would love to see that. I guess I am a bit sick, but I would grin for days knowing he was getting what he deserves.

He IS getting what he deserves.

I think he would get what he deserves if he was released in gen pop. By getting the needle in 10 years, he is getting off easy.

    Dylann Roof sentenced to death….
    Thats all?

If this was Israel, we would arrest his family, confiscate their home, bulldoze the property and build a new settlement on it.. /s

I support the death penalty, especially, in cases like this. He admitted he did it, witnesses say it was him, they have him on camera, EVERYTHING points towards him. F it. Kill the thug.
