Andrea Bocelli is rumored to sing at Donald Trump’s inauguration next month, and not all of his fans are happy about it. Though Bocelli has neither confirmed nor denied the reports that he will perform a duet with “America’s Got Talent” singer Jackie Evancho at the event, some of his fans have started a “Boycott Bocelli”…

    I’m scratcin my head….
    Who is a the singer?…
Who is this person I never heard of?

    • The Original Just Me December 17th, 2016 at 21:06

He is a singer who needs publicity. I think He may be getting it.

    • Jungle_Bhoy December 18th, 2016 at 00:06

To be honest he is a dismally inadequate opera singer. He needs a microphone because his pipes are so weak. He just does not have operatic chops at all, his diction is bad and his pitch is dodgy. I don’t think he even has the chops for the Broadway repertoire. Its not like he used to be great and lost it through old age – he was never any good, but he has always had a great publicist.

      • Suzanne McFly December 18th, 2016 at 09:07

I am not a fan of the opera so I just assumed if he sounds a lot better than I he must be good lol.

    • Ed VanDyke December 18th, 2016 at 01:53

I myself was wondering why they went with “famous singer” in the headline. By my reckoning, if they’re TRULY “famous”, you just put their name… :)

    • Suzanne McFly December 18th, 2016 at 09:06

I think he is opera, I am not a fan of opera but he has a great voice. Hopefully he won’t waste it supporting the biggest red neck ever to be born in the great state of New York. Pretty sure many rump fans don’t have a clue who he is either.

I have never heard of this person…but, then again, I am a hermit, with bad hearing, a bad temper, bad haircut, and a bad attitude…and there hasn’t been any real music since the Beatles broke up..

    • The Original Just Me December 17th, 2016 at 21:04

Do you take showers ? LOL :+)

      >> there hasn’t been any real music since the Beatles broke up..

The Beatles broke up 45 years ago! You have missed a lot of great music like U2, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Madonna. But, you also missed disco and hip hop, so I suppose it’s a wash.

Personally, I do not agree with these reflexive boycotts of Presidential ceremonies. The cycle of hatred will never end as long as we contribute to it.

Still, I cannot help but think that no one should be surprised. We had 8 years of 24x7x365 demonization of President Obama. He was accused of everything from lying about his religion, and being constitutionally ineligible to serve, to planning to euthanize the elderly.

The old saying is that what goes around, comes around. It recently occurred to me that the concept is universal, as Newtonian physics acknowledges this concept as well.

When you spend 8 years throwing sh*t at people, do not be surprised when your target starts throwing it back.

      Is a boycott really hatred?

IMHO, boycotts rarely work but I think it’s fine for people to not buy stuff from those they don’t like.

I’m not boycotting Chick Fil A, Hobby Lobby or Papa John but I don’t buy their stuff because I have a negative association with their right wing nut jobbery. But, I don’t hate them.

      • Budda December 18th, 2016 at 08:31

I completely agree with your statement. I don’t “hate” them either and I don’t patronize them either.

That is just a beginning of My list. You Really left out Olive Garden.

  5. ohpaleasegivemeabreak December 17th, 2016 at 23:21

I hope this guy actually gets paid by Herr Drumpf if he decides to perform for him.

My suggestion to him, of course, would be to get CASH up front or refuse to perform.

    • fahvel December 17th, 2016 at 23:36

paid up front x10 to cover fan loss.

    • Mensa Member December 18th, 2016 at 00:26

What are the chances that Trump will mock him for being blind?

      • The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 10:50

Is there something above a thousand percent ? :+)

    • The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 10:49

  6. Jack E Raynbeau December 18th, 2016 at 00:21

Trump, get a clue. Nugent is waiting for your call. You can get that washed up poser for next to nothing.

    • fay9169 December 18th, 2016 at 09:47

And Nugent has at least as much talent as Bocelli….so, yeah…maybe that makes sense. Save money–get the same quality…good idea!!

      • Hirightnow December 18th, 2016 at 13:18

Ted is a 70’s pedophile…maybe “talented”, but as I understand things, John Wayne Gacy could paint.

        • Dcbos December 19th, 2016 at 22:03

not talented at all ; loud vulgar poopy panted ped predator.

  7. Suzanne McFly December 18th, 2016 at 09:01

Republican voters mainly live on a minimum wage so their boycotts aren’t even felt. The democratic voters have more discretionary money to use and our boycotts can kill a business.

    • fay9169 December 18th, 2016 at 09:46

Is there something wrong with living on ‘minimum wages’? Is it worse than begging for a handout?

      • The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 10:47

You would have to ask a Republican that question. They are the ones who think you have to be worth Millions before they will speak to you. Filthy Rich, are the only ones Republicans respect.

        • fay9169 December 18th, 2016 at 12:14

What are the ‘thank you’ tours, then? Isn’t he speaking to regular people? Hillary Clinton left her supporters uncontrollably weeping, as they waited hours for her to come out and address her defeat. She never had enough decency, neither she nor Bill nor little Chelsea…..that was unconscionable, in my estimation.

          • Hirightnow December 18th, 2016 at 13:13

She never had enough decency, neither she nor Bill nor little Chelsea.

            Please, explain this quote.

            • fay9169 December 18th, 2016 at 17:27

It explains itself, if you were watching tv, on election night.

              • Hirightnow December 18th, 2016 at 19:30

                No,it does not.

Pretend that I am a Trump voter, and need things explained to me as if I were five.

          • Jack E Raynbeau December 18th, 2016 at 14:23

            Thank you tours? That’s funny.

            • fay9169 December 18th, 2016 at 17:45

Isn’t that what he calls them?

              • Jack E Raynbeau December 18th, 2016 at 18:50

What he calls them is irrelevant. They are gloating tours. He needs the adoring crowd to stroke his ego.

          • The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 18:39

I can’t reply to the likes of you because I don’t use that kind of language.

  8. Larry Schmitt December 18th, 2016 at 09:52

He can do a duet with Nugent.

    • The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 10:44

Nuggets is a Solo Act because Nobody can stand Him.

  9. The Original Just Me December 18th, 2016 at 10:43

IF, He is So Famous, how come nobody has ever heard of him ???? Is there a bottom in that barrel that T. Rump is scraping in ???

    • Bunya December 19th, 2016 at 13:24

Actually, he’s a very famous opera singer. He’s very good, but if he’s going to perform for Trump, as one poster said, he should make sure he’s paid in advance – with cash.

  10. Trumpty Dumpty December 18th, 2016 at 11:24

    This is a non-issue.

Our American election system and the recent results can’t be trusted because the election was hacked by Russia. An intelligence report is forthcoming. All of the Electors in the Electoral College need to recommend a re-do of the election.

Ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you that we don’t even truly know who our next President should be.

    • Hirightnow December 18th, 2016 at 13:11

Oh, we DO know who our next President should be…it’s just that danged 22nd Amendment….
