Automated restaurant in NY has no servers, no cashiers

This isn’t exactly new. For decades New York had the Automat.  But this is the wave of the future.

There are no cashiers and you order on an iPad or your phone.  The meal appears in a little locker.  Customers tap to open the door for their meal.

You’d better love quinoa.  The food is all vegetarian.  Bowls cost about $7.

The restaurant opened this week at 285 Madison Avenue, between 40th and 41st streets.

There are humans at Eatsa.  They are in the back preparing the salads but are not seen by the customers.

As the politicians still rant on about bringing jobs back to America. With robotics and advancements in automation, jobs will continue to disappear.Driverless cars?Soon driverless taxis.100s of thousands more jobs will then disappear. So they continue to devise ways to perform labor with all these methods, but haven’t put much thought into what will they do with even more citizens unable to earn a paycheck, and stuck in the self created idleness mode of modern society.Coming soon,a cashless society.
