Christie trying to change law so he can cash in on book deal

He’ll be gone soon enough, but wants to strike while the iron is lukewarm.

“New Jersey lawmakers are once again discussing a bill that would allow Gov. Chris Christie to cash in on a book deal while in office,” the Bergen County Record reports.

“State law bars Christie from profiting if he publishes a book while in office. But with a year left in his term and his hopes dimming for a job in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, Christie is now in talks with top Democratic and Republican lawmakers to change the law this month to allow him to cash in with a book deal.”

    No, Christie.
    F*k you.
F*k you right in the eye.

You want your book profits, resign.
    Honestly, we wouldn’t mind.

Every journalist in the state should jump on this, and shame the lawmakers into stopping him.

Lisa McCormick should be jumping on it, too.

I’m not sure if I’d vote for her, but it’s certainly a great topic for her to touch on as she starts her bid for Governor.
