Report: Abedin has no idea how her emails wound up on Weiner’s computer

Posted by | October 30, 2016 07:53 | Filed under: Politics

Huma Abedin believed she had turned all devices with State Department emails over to the FBI, and does not know how any of them showed up on her husband’s computer.

…Abedin has told people she is unsure how her emails could have ended up on a device she viewed as her husband’s computer, the seizure of which has reignited the Clinton email investigation, according to a person familiar with the investigation and civil litigation over the matter.

The person, who would not discuss the case unless granted anonymity, said Abedin was not a regular user of the computer, and even when she agreed to turn over emails to the State Department for federal records purposes, her lawyers did not search it for materials, not believing any of her messages to be there…

When Abedin left the State Department, she signed a statement saying she had “surrendered to responsible officials all controlled or administratively controlled documents and materials with which I was charged or which I had in my possession.” The State Department — in the process of collecting Clinton’s and others for records and Freedom of Information Act purposes — later asked Abedin to turn over relevant messages, and she gave her laptop and BlackBerry for review.

Abedin told the FBI in an interview in April that her attorneys asked for guidance from the State Department on how to conduct that review but did not receive a response. Summarizing Abedin’s interview, FBI agents wrote that she told them the attorneys “erred on the side of caution and opted to include anything that they were unsure about.” In a sworn deposition in June, Abedin said she “looked for all the devices that may have any of my State Department work on it and returned — returned — gave them to my attorneys for them to review for all relevant documents.”

By having access to Hillary’s emails, wouldn’t they be able to see everything that was sent and received? I know she “scrubbed” her drive, but with all the access I assume they had to multiple computers, I find it odd that none of them show all the emails she sent and/or received. I wonder is Abedin didn’t provide her husbands computer because she was weary about what would be found on that pervs hard-drive.

The FBI already had it as evidence in Wienergate.

Auto-sync feature maybe? Could be something was set-up and did more than they thought it would. There very well could be some deleted emails on there if something like that happened. For Hillary’s sake and the country’s, I sure hope they don’t find out that Hillary deleted things to cover up things that she shouldn’t have done or said. Hope this ends soon.

Could be Anthony was spying on his wife.

If they both used the same computer, each would be under a separate sign in, there’s little that would flow to both parties. ‘Course I’m no wiz at the highly technical stuff.

    Democrat mantra…..

    I don’t recall, I can’t remember, I don’t recall, I can’t remember, I don’t recall, I can’t remember…….

    • StoneyCurtisll October 30th, 2016 at 12:10

Trump doesn’t have a mantra, he just flat out lies about everything..
Even things that are on video and audio tape..
It mush suck to be a Trump supporter, like you…
It has to hurt really bad right now…
I could almost have a bit of empathy for you, if you were not so gullible a person that think trump has a chance at anything other than losing.

      • trees October 30th, 2016 at 12:24

        Hate to burst your bubble…

        But….

        I’m not a Trump supporter.

Although I do think it’s hilarious that you Dems nominated a person who was under criminal investigation, Hillary, and who is likely to lose as a result of being under renewed criminal investigation…

        Dude…

        Bummer.

          It shoulda been Bernie.

In fact, I think everyone planning on voting for Trump should write in Bernie instead! hehehe

          • Dwendt44 October 30th, 2016 at 18:45

Sadly, all that would do is elect T rump.

            • Kick Frenzy October 31st, 2016 at 01:04

              That makes absolutely no sense.
In fact, it’s literally the exact opposite of what what would happen.

If everyone planning to vote for Trump, did not vote for Trump.
              He would lose.
Regardless of them voting for Bernie or not.

You’ve still got Zip. No investigation is criminal without “Evidence” e.g. “Donald Trump is Named in at Least 169 Federal Lawsuits”-LawNews http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/we-investigated-donald-trump-is-named-in-at-least-169-federal-lawsuits/

As usual you’re playing uninformed conspiracy troll with a twig up your azz.

          • trees October 30th, 2016 at 12:54

            If it’s not a criminal investigation….

Then why is team Hillary busy freaking out and attacking the director of…

            The Federal Bureau of…

            Investigation.

“Trump Could Be Facing Criminal Investigation Over Illegal Job Offer To Ben Carson”-Fact with public evidence, http://www.politicususa.com/2016/04/01/trump-facing-criminal-investigation-illegal-job-offer-ben-carson.html

Vs ‘Careless’ but not criminal: What the FBI has said about Hillary Clinton’s emails is not criminal (No criminal intent-FBI no laws broken.) https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/28/careless-but-not-criminal-what-the-fbi-has-said-about-hillary-clintons-emails/

You emulate the dumb people requiring SCOTUS to rule Twice on equal Marriage, upholding the 14th & 10th, then again citing the 10th (10-A is the one you count with all of your fingers on both of your hands and thumbs. Remove your thumb now or you’ll only be able to count to the 9th A)

              • trees October 30th, 2016 at 13:17

                Careless….reckless…. Negligent…. Grossly negligent.

Gross negligence is a conscious and voluntary disregard of the need to use reasonable care, which is likely to cause foreseeable grave injury or harm to persons, property, or both. It is conduct that is extreme when compared with ordinary negligence, which is a mere failure to exercise reasonable care.

There is no need for “criminal intent” under the statutes.

Exposing national security classified information is something most people are prosecuted for…

                Except….

Hillary was/is being protected by Loretta Lynch….

                Yeah…

That 40 min “social visit” was simply “unexpected”.

But well proven hypocrite Obe will defend Hillary unashamedly. (And if a Republican and Republican administration was involved in something identical to this, Obe would be saying the exact opposite of what he’s saying here..)

If the Creator is not a Tar Heel fan, then why is the sky Carolina Blue?

Open-ended hypotheticals are useless as arguments..

Based on all the reporting I have read, the FBI is not certain as to whether some or all of the emails are duplicates of content the have already seen.

This whole uproar is more shenanigans from the Benghazi Brigade that tried to damage HRC and failed. They lied about a stand down order until their own committee determined that there was no such order.

Now these same partisan liars are to be believed as they spin the letter from Director Comey on emails that so far, apparently were neither sent directly to, nor received directly from Sec. Clinton.

              • trees October 30th, 2016 at 13:54

emails that so far, apparently were neither sent directly to, nor received directly from Sec. Clinton.

Has nothing to do with whether or not they are pertinent to the investigation. All that needs to be shown is something relevant. A conversation between aides discussing destruction of evidence would be all that is needed, for example. Anything that contradicts prior testimony. Classified information on that laptop means someone is going to jail. Tens of thousands of emails….. Not looking good for Clinton and her partners in crime

See! Even the dimmest Donnie supporters disavow their 2nd place con artist, errantly ignorant that Trump is at trial for Two rapes, one rape at trial of a then 13 year old victim, plus dozens of Trump sexual assaults.

Let’s not confuse our parties here, shall we? It was the republicans (specifically Reagan) who said “I don’t recall, I can’t remember, I don’t recall, I can’t remember, I don’t recall, I can’t remember…….” However you left you “…and if I did remember, I forgot what I remembered.”

silly question maybe – has anything at all compromising or whatever been found anywhere while all the trillions of emails are being read by the “director of the fbi”?
