More evidence it’s over: Trump pulls out of Virginia

They’re folding up the tents.

Virginia and its 13 electoral votes are one of the most crucial eleven states for the 2016 White House bid, and Trump’s departure spells an almost certain state victory for Hillary Clinton. It is a state that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, lost twice.

MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson reported this morning that the Trump camp will instead, “divert everything to Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, and Ohio,” marking a strong four state push in the remaining weeks.

However, the battles in those states are anything but sure things.

In Pennsylvania, Clinton hold a 9.2 point lead according to RCP; the former Secretary of State also has a 2.6 point lead in North Carolina, a 3.2 point lead in Florida, and a narrow 1.0 lead in Ohio.

So that means we in the Washington area won’t have to deal with any Trump ads, because Maryland is even more solidly Dem than Virginia, and DC votes about 90% Dem every time.

Now I’m feeling the sin of envy.

I seldom see any TV here, but haven’t seen any of his ads when I did, and I have heard none on the radio.
I just spent a couple of weeks in South Carolina and saw mostly Hillary ads, mainly the one of the kids watching Trump using the usual assortment of vulgarities we have come to expect from him.

Trump has made a few appearances in the Old Dominion.
First, he went to Loudoun County – the richest county in the country with an unemployment rate probably under 4%, and told them how “harrible” things are.
Then he came to Fredericksburg and addressed the fine folks of Fairfax County because he was too damned stupid to know where he was.
A week ago he either fired his campaign director in Virginia of the fella quit.
Without someone to run his campaign, one might say Trump is shorthanded.
Well, he already was, but, y’know…………

I remember his visit to Loudoun. Any other candidate, his staff would be fact-checking his statements, to make sure he doesn’t keep spewing bullshit. But his staff obviously isn’t doing any of that. Of course, most of his “statements” are completely off the cuff. Kind of hard to fact-check that.

hell, he can always go to Newtown, CT.

he’s said nothing but good things about their acting abilities.

Clinton leads in MD by 35 points. So obviously that’s where Trump will be buying ads next, after the ads in Arizona finish running.

Saw a comment over at the original post on mediate.com

A dedicated Trump supporter said it was good news, since it means that Trump knows he has Virginia locked up.

What kind of drugs are these people taking?

OP: “Virginia and its 13 electoral votes are one of the most crucial eleven states for the 2016 White House bid”

After doing a lot of scribbling (albeit while stoned), the way it looks to me is Trump is so far behind in electoral college votes that he needs to catch up by winning states with lots of electors. He can’t fiddle around trying to win Maine, for example.
The way I figure it, it comes down to 6 states: Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. It look impossible to me for Trump to win unless he takes at least 4 of those 6.

The first time I saw the title of this article, to me it read:
“More evidence it’s over: Trump pulls out of Vagina”

Just can’t help having mental images of him lately with his little hand on a pussy and his tongue poking out of his ass-hole-like mouth…GROSS!

The math geek in me won’t say this thing is over, but I can say Trump’s chances are somewhere between extremely difficult and not gonna happen…Nate (538) has a visual going back to 1952 comparing Oct polling to the actual outcome…No one has ever pulled off a 6 point come-from-behind.
