Pence: ‘too much talk about institutional bias and racism within law enforcement”

Posted by | September 22, 2016 18:22 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Mike Pence won’t be getting the NAACP man of the year award.

…Pence participated in a roundtable with pastors at a church in Colorado today and said, “Trump and I believe there’s been far too much talk about institutional bias and racism within law enforcement.”

According to Politico, Pence defended police departments from the “rhetoric of division” while making it clear that after high-profile shootings, what’s important is speaking with compassion and making sure “justice will be served and that high standards will be upheld.”

How about making sure “justice” is served BEFORE shooting? The cops don’t come into your neighborhood shooting people for no reason, the cops live in your neighborhood.

“Trump and I believe there’s been far too much talk about institutional bias and racism within law enforcement.” ~Pence
when it isn’t affecting your life or the life of someone you know, of course you couldn’t care less about the subject. fucking bitch.

And if anyone ever wonders why race relations are what they are in this country, look no further than the clueless and blind ignoramuses like Pence and Trump on the right.

Too much talk about racism because it is exposing your top ticket candidate for the racist bigot he is?

So you’re voting for Trump! That’s what we thought long ago anyway. We Dems here are fiscal cons. Thanks for playing faux. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a70b3291560cf9c3cd21dbca66ca8cb79296f82e2ada833802891663f71dd093.jpg

So, you’re voting for ineptitude! But we knew that already.
We Progressives here are realists. Thanks anyway, O.

‘I am voting for Hillary & I’ll do everything I can to defeat Trump’-Sanders. Now campaigns for HRC. His team is working for her election. ‘I do not want to explain to my kids and grand children why we have a President Trump!’-Sanders.

You’ve repeatedly debunked yourself as an ignorant Trump buffoon e.g. ‘I used to be a republican’-Kick Frenzy about 2-3 months ago.

        • Kick Frenzy September 23rd, 2016 at 19:40

Yes, I used to identify more as a Republican.
That was long before I was registered to vote, as well as before I started paying better attention.

But hey, if you want to constantly berate me by making false assumptions about my character, then I won’t feel bad about giving you s*t for it, Hillbot.

Any former republican, any moderate, any center-left moderate, any
democrat, any liberal, any progressive, any far left extremist who does
not vote for Hillary, is helping Trump win. There is no way anyone can
look at this any other way. The two choices are stark, the differences
are overwhelming, and pretending there are more than two choices is
extremely selfish considering what’s at stake. Hating Hillary more than
loving the country by helping Trump win is no virtue! Claiming
ideological purity, voting for principle or conscience is a disgraceful
disservice to the country solely because of Donald J Trump! We either
vote for Hillary or go to our graves knowing we helped Donald J Trump
        into the Whitehouse.

I get what you’re trying to say, but it comes across WAY different.

What you’re saying here is, “put aside your ideals, your beliefs, the entire basis of who you are to the core of your being and just vote against Trump because he’s worse than Clinton!”
          And that’s not my bag.

I voted for Obama because I was voting for Obama, not against someone else.
I voted for Bernie in the primaries, because I voted FOR Bernie.

The only reason to push a button for Hillary, for me personally, is to vote against Trump.
And I don’t vote ‘against’, I vote ‘for’.

          • Foundryman September 24th, 2016 at 11:57

Any vote ‘for’ is also a vote ‘against’. The entire premise is either Aye or Nay, Yes or No, Right or Wrong, Up or Down! You cannot vote without being ‘against’ something.

Any left leaning person whose ideals and beliefs make up the very fiber of their being who doesn’t vote in a way to insure Trump losing, is only fooling themselves. There’s only two choices, Trump or Hillary.

            • Kick Frenzy September 25th, 2016 at 11:39

Sure, you could argue that voting for Bernie would’ve also been voting against Trump… but that wouldn’t be the whole reason for my vote.
Had Bernie gotten the nomination, I would be voting for him to be president because I believe in his ability to do so in a manner that agrees with my personal ideals.
If I were to cast a vote for Hillary, it would be against my beliefs that I do not think she’s a great choice for president, nothing about my vote would be for Hillary… it would simply be to prevent Trump from winning.

The thing is, I’m not just a blue-ish, left leaning voter.
I’m a progressive, liberal voter and for many of us… Hillary just isn’t palatable.
By all means, if other people want to vote against Trump by casting a ballot for Hillary, more power to you/them.
I’m not going to try to convince people not to vote for her, but I’m not going to sugar-coat my opinions and observations either.

              • Foundryman September 25th, 2016 at 12:22

If Bernie won the nomination I would be voting for him too! But he didn’t and I’m not. My vote is important enough to me that I want it to count. I ‘ll not waste it just to feel good about myself, to protect my ‘principles’ and throw the entire country into the wind.
It is my principle to want to protect social security, to want moderate to left leaning people on the supreme court, to want to strenthen equality for everyone, not tear it down. You are wrong to think Hillary is no different than Trump, the differences are overwhelming.

                • Kick Frenzy September 25th, 2016 at 12:30

I never said Hillary was no different than Trump.
She’s exceedingly different in almost every regard possible!

But good on you for following your convictions, it’s something we’re both doing. :)

  6. whatthe46 September 23rd, 2016 at 02:21

you’re so disappointing in this regard. not voting for Hillary and voting for someone not running any longer, is putting our country at risk. i really like Bernie Kick, but, I’m NOT about to vote against the best interest of this country, let alone, the best interest of my well being, my sons well being, the well being of someones family member in the military, because not voting for Hillary is doing exactly that. my son just joined the AF, and i’ll be damned if he has to go to war because tRump was insulted. i would run over my sons foot first to make sure he’s not fighting on behalf of ignorance. please Kick, don’t do that. there are die hard repukes that are biting their tongues and voting for Hillary because the other option means the death of millions. i’m talking here and abroad. vote common sense. don’t vote because of emotions.

  7. Gary Parillo September 23rd, 2016 at 03:12

I understand how you feel.I wanted Bernie and feel he got shafted. But one of only two will win in this rigged system of ours,we cannot change that at this time.Trump would be so destructive to our nation and the world, that Hillary looks like mother thresa by comparison.Every vote for her counts.Trump would devastate the supreme court with all right wing religious nuts, and his rash judgements could throw us into major war.Think it over a little more. There really is alot to consider.Voting Hillary can help save us from a psycho that would become the Despot and chief.

    • Kick Frenzy September 23rd, 2016 at 18:17

You’re right that the Supreme Court would be severely endangered with Trump, but with Hillary it wouldn’t shine either… it just wouldn’t be as bad.

And as for being destructive to our nation and the world, I don’t have a lot of faith in Hillary to avoid those scenarios.
Especially not when she already has a track record of destructive choices (pushing fracking in other countries, supporting Syrian no-fly zone, favored the Iraq war, Libya, etc).

I can’t be at peace with my soul if I cast a vote for her and that’s largely what it boils down to.

      • Gary Parillo September 23rd, 2016 at 18:27

It is a terrible situation we find ourselves in,and I understand what you say.I respect your integrity in your decision.I know there are many who feel the same way.

  8. bpollen September 23rd, 2016 at 06:36

Yes, in these trying times, these times of strife, of conflict, of danger, it’s inappropriate to speak of reality. Yes, brothers and sisters, we must, as one, stick our heads in the sand and wonder where the light went!

“Trump and I believe there’s been far too much talk about institutional bias and racism within law enforcement.”.
    .
Absolutely. They should “shoot first and ask questions maybe” when confronting a black person who’s car broke down on the highway. That way, they’ll have more time to terrorize Planned Parenthood clinics. After all, life begins at conception and ends at birth.

  10. Comicus September 23rd, 2016 at 17:49

“Trump and I believe there’s been far too much talk about institutional bias and racism within law enforcement.”. Trump and Pence just want all those uppity negroes and white race traitors to shut their pieholes. Is he asking for too much?

  11. Obewon September 24th, 2016 at 07:39

You certainly are no friend of Bernie’s, nor do you listen to Sanders.

    • Kick Frenzy September 25th, 2016 at 11:16

So, you’re just a troll then?
