Federal worker would rather be fired than watch LGBT video

David Hall would rather be fired than watch a workplace diversity video.

Hall says he is a Christian who believes that the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin. He’s “not anti-anyone or anything,” however. Instead, he says he’s just “for God, for Jesus.”

According to the News-Gazette, Hall has worked for the Social Security Administration for 14 years, but in April employees were told to watch a 17-minute training video on LGBT diversity and inclusion and certify they’d done it afterward. Hall claims the department has never made a video mandatory before.

He was given direct orders on June 2 and again on June 24 and he refused both times. He asked for religious accommodation but was denied. An official reprimand was placed in his file and he was suspended without pay for two days.

After the suspension, he was told he’d receive further discipline if he didn’t watch the video. He began to expect he will probably lose his job over the ordeal.

He’s probably afraid that video will make him want to go out and buy a nice sun dress.

point taken but,……it’s gonna take a whole lot more than a sun dress.

perhaps a non misogynistic belief system.

He just doesn’t understand why his intolerance won’t be tolerated.

“Religious accommodation” I.e., I want my “God” given right to discriminate. Separation of church and state is just out of the question for these asses. They need to become self employed then they work with whomever they choose. But of you’re working for the government and the tax payers are your wages, then you don’t get to discriminate against anyone.

They should just fire him. Why do they put up with these hate-filled religious mental defectives? If it weren’t for his hatred of gays keeping him busy, he’d probably be out killing Muslims and bombing clinics – in Jesus’ name, of course.

i thought that maybe if they fired him, then he’d just collect unemployment, but, this would be in violation and he’s being insubordinate and that should be just cause for unemployment being denied. fk these asses.
