Trump’s Middle East plan: ‘Take the oil’

Posted by | September 8, 2016 06:56 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Donald Trump said we should have committed the war crime of taking Iraq’s oil.

…I’ve always said, “Shouldn’t be there! But if we’re gonna get out, take the oil. If we would have taken the oil, you wouldn’t have ISIS. Because ISIS formed with the power and wealth of that oil.

And how do you do that?

Well, you—you just, you would leave a certain group behind. And you would take various sections where they have the oil.

People don’t know this about Iraq, but they have among the largest oil reserves in the world.

And these are the statements he had after he was “schooled” about the information by his team? This is beyond stupidity, this is a mental problem.

This is OUR Problem IF He wins.

His usual instinct as a serial bankrupt… loot the place then run away.

Don’t forget the Raping and Pillage on the way.

This is not that different from the Bush/Cheney solution: make the Iraqis use the oil to pay for our war. Doesn’t matter that the oil doesn’t belong to us. This is just another simple, no-thought “answer” to a complex problem. Real leaders know that complex problems don’t have simple answers.

Letting Trump get away with saying women in the military are responsible for sex assaults; Putin is a great leader; ‘to the victor goes the spoils’ essentially wanting to make our military raiders and marauders and the top generals don’t know anything and should be fired, letting him get away with these asinine statements are why he’s winning. The right wing rubes say these same things everyday at the bar or the shooting range.

There were no questions on his support for torture, he never answered what he would do for veteran suicide and homelessness other than making a generalized and pandering comment.

At least we know he likes having Putin say he’s ‘Brilliant’…

Generalized and Pandering Comments, you just summed up Trumps Whole Campaign, but you did leave out Constant Lying because he does NOT know what the Truth IS. At least Pres. Clinton knew what the definition of IS is.

How come he wasn’t asked where he would put that oil? Maybe he’d have to confiscate the land that it’s under? Seems to me that would be a war crime or at least something similar to what the US stopped and defeated in WWll.

Trump is the proof that there are power mad, big money oligarchs trying to destroy us.

When you step back for a moment and look at the situation, it’s really baffling, isn’t it?

      • Larry Schmitt September 8th, 2016 at 08:57

No more baffling than any of the other really stupid things he has said.

        • fahvel September 8th, 2016 at 10:04

what is frightening the world is that there are so few loud voices in your politics responding to this thing and his moronic comments which, virtually to the word, are meaningless noise.

perfect example, last night Matt Lauer let all his bullshit slide. All the things he has been saying about Libya and Iraq are false, and he just let him say it…smh

If this is their Best of the Best, Don’t even think about voting for the OTHERS.

Trump’s sons need that much oil to grease their hair down so they don’t look like their Dad.

Sure it’s a war crime, but the US track record for prosecuting republicans for war crimes and crimes against humanity is pretty bad.

  6. William September 8th, 2016 at 08:54

Well we can add larceny to the Trump repertoire of foreign policy that includes war crimes like murdering the families of combatants.

I think the total number reached more than $3 Billion before Halliburton left.
