Rio police charge Lochte with false robbery report

Posted by | August 25, 2016 19:25 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly

Ryon Lochte has been officially charged by police in Rio.

The embattled swimmer has already lost all of his primary endorsement deals reeling from the aftermath of an incident that took place in Rio during the recent Summer Olympic games. The 32-year-old swimmer lied to law enforcement — and then TODAY’s Billy Bush — about a Saturday night where he claimed he and three of his teammates were held up at gunpoint.

Earlier today Lochte was summoned to return to Rio to testify before Brazil’s justice department. Although he would not be required to testify, Lochte would forego his ability to negotiate a plea deal according to one Brazilian police detective.

According to the USA Today, “A police statement Thursday says Lochte will be informed in the United States so he can decide whether to introduce a defense in Brazil. The indictment will be sent to the International Olympic Committee’s ethics commission.”

Ryon Lochte is a little frat boy scumbag…
But good luck to the Brazilian police getting him back in the country…
I’m sure a large cash payment is all they need to forgive and forget Lochte’s transgressions…

I don’t see him going back to Brazil the transfer is on the way! If he did go back, I bet he would get robbed for sure this time!

      • StoneyCurtisll August 26th, 2016 at 04:20

        And deservedly so~!

      • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 12:46

I would be in favor of making him swim back to Rio.

He lives in Florida, and he is an Olympic record holder, so he has got that going for him.

And when he gets there he owes that country a humble apology.

I’m sure there’s a book written by tRump “how to get away with not paying taxes for dummies.”

      • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 12:38

        “$15m” for being a swimmer?

Wow. How much do the Olympic Ping Pong athletes make.

I am pretty good at Ping Pong.

    • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 12:49

It’s that “speedo” thing that bothers me the most.

      See what I mean?

      • Bunya August 26th, 2016 at 13:28

Whoa! Is that all him, or is his speedo “stuffed”?

        • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 13:58

Look at it this way Bunya. I am glad golfers don’t wear speedo’s.

          hahahahahahahahahhaaaaaa

          • Bunya August 26th, 2016 at 14:12

Oh great! Now I can’t get the image of Arnold Palmer playing golf in nothing but a “stuffed” speedo out of my head.

            • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 14:23

              Hahahahahahahaha

              FORE!

He will be dumped by the USA swim team in 3…2…1

  4. Mike August 26th, 2016 at 00:00

Damn, what a waste of a career. Millions out the window all because of a really stupid choice. WTF was he thinking ?

    • Tommie August 26th, 2016 at 01:14

      Alcohol is a helluva drug!

    • DogsRgoodpeople August 26th, 2016 at 08:51

After seeing a few of his interviews I’d say thinking is beyond his skill set.

    • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 12:36

I find it hard to believe there is “professional swimming”.

Is swimming an actual sport? Or is it something you do to avoid drowning?

      • Mike August 26th, 2016 at 13:25

I’d like to laugh along with you but for the fact this kid his pocketed upwards of $15 million…I gotta confess I haven’t done that well and I have an actual career … crappy as it might pay next to the likes of Jenner, Mary Lou, Phelps, and all those other “amateurs”.

        • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 13:56

          Hahahahahahaha.

I am sure you work hard for your money as did I.

We just picked the wrong careers.

Here is an example, when I was kid I wanted to be a major league baseball player. (hardy har har)

In those days MLBP made $100K at the most, but the average player needed an off season job.

Today, “Jenner, Mary Lou, Phelps and all those other “amateurs” ” make enough money they could buy a US senator.

I am thinking about becoming a professional Curling player.

It is the only sport where you could drink a beer while you are playing.

          • Mike August 26th, 2016 at 14:10

I heard John Daly used to hit in the Port-a-Johnny’s while playing and sneak a smoke and a swig of whiskey.
That EpiPen CEO in the hotseat made $18m last year…that’s $10k and hour $18m/12months/4weeks/5days/8hours = $9,3,75 … now that’s a payday, she makes more in an hour than I make in a month.

            • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 14:21

              hahahahahaha.

Who says “there is no money in pharmaceuticals”?

Above all things!!!!! John Daly was my guy!

In other Olympics news regarding athletes who say dumb sh*t, Hope Solo is suspended for the insane comment she made after the team lost to Sweden.
After her performance there and her comments, I hope there is someone waiting in the wings to take her place.

    • Mensa Member August 26th, 2016 at 12:17

Solo is a local kid and even I’m tired of her.

That being said, I’m not sure she’s worse than many male pro athletes.

      • mistlesuede August 26th, 2016 at 13:00

I had always admired her until I heard about the domestic violence and that turned me off. I understand her being tough and maybe difficult to handle to a certain extent. There you are right. She sounds like most of the NFL players. But her performance has been lacking a bit this year and the comment about the Swedish team was just pathetic. It ruined how gracious our team was in losing. It is unfortunate that this is the way she is going to end her career with this team.

        • Roctuna August 26th, 2016 at 17:55

Yeah, her comments were tacky. As I understand it, the Swedish coach has even coached the US team so she knows the US players. Additionally, every time the US has played Sweden she’s used the same “slow down, tight defense” strategy. If the US coach wasn’t clever enough to figure out how to beat that I’d say we were just out-coached.

          • mistlesuede August 26th, 2016 at 22:39

That was my feeling also. Actually I had said that exact word when I wrote about when they lost. “Out-coached.” I thought it was because Abby Wambach retired and she did seem to be the glue of the team. The team was playing well, but in the game against the French team, the coach made the stupidest decision I’ve seen in a long time. The final ten minutes she put everyone on defense. There was no drive to the other goal and it made no sense whatsoever. I sat here shaking my head and disgusted. She didn’t pull that in the game against the Swedes, but between Hope not doing well and that coach doing so much better of a job, it was very disappointing.

This guy is a multi-millionaire while kindergarten teachers are driving around in old cars with bald tires.

    What a country!

    • anothertoothpick August 26th, 2016 at 12:41

      Tragically misplaced priorities.

  7. Roctuna August 26th, 2016 at 15:00

How is a 32-year old a “kid”. Heck, he’s not even a “young man” any more. Just an immature adult with a overblown sense of entitlement and no brains, yet I see him referred to over and over as “just a kid who made a mistake”.

  8. StoneyCurtisll August 26th, 2016 at 17:13

    Send him back to Brazil…
    He owes them some restitution..
