Clinton 12 points up in new national poll
The Reuters/Ipsos poll now shows a double-digit lead for Hillary Clinton.
Click here for reuse options!The Aug. 18-22 poll showed that 45 percent of voters supported Clinton, while 33 percent backed Trump ahead of the Nov. 8 election.
Clinton, the former U.S. secretary of state, has led Trump, a New York businessman, throughout most of the 2016 campaign. But her latest lead represents a stronger level of support than polls indicated over the past few weeks. Earlier in August, Clinton’s lead over Trump ranged from 3 to 9 percentage points in the poll.
The poll also found that about 22 percent of likely voters would not pick either candidate. That lack of support is high compared with how people responded to the poll during the 2012 presidential election between Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney.

In my life, i have been associated with both major Parties. I am an Independent but I lean Left now days due to a Lack of Viable Candidates on the Right. I was generalizing about the Dyed in the Wool Republicans who ONLY Vote Republican no matter what. Every time we want to push this country forward, we spend years (if not decades) battling conservatives who almost always seem to be living in a time period several decades (sometimes centuries) behind the rest of the world.
From attempting to tell women what they can do with their own bodies, to trying to force their religious views on others, modern-day Republicans really only like โfreedomโ when they are being allowed the โfreedomโ to control or restrict the rights of others.
Itโs nearly impossible to get anything done in government nowadays because the GOP has done a fantastic job at convincing tens of millions of people that government is the bad guy and the millionaires and billionaires corrupting that very same government are the good guys. As a Republican, if you even dare to think about working with Democrats to get anything done, youโre literally risking your political career.
Republicans, are typically the first people to proclaim how theyโre proud patriots who love the country and our Constitution. Give me a break. Maryann … I share your concerns about Hillary’s pay-to-play operation at the State Dept. Here’s an example of what concerns me:
The Washington Post published a list of donors to the Clinton Foundation during Secretary Clinton’s term at the State Dept. The country giving the most money was Ukraine at $10 million. $8.6 million of that came from a single person; a Ukrainian billionaire named Victor Pinchuk.
Victor Pinchuk has done many things to help his fellow Ukrainians. His generous donation to the Clinton Foundation was ostensibly to help train a new generation of Ukrainian leaders. He may be a very good person with honorable intentions. But Pinchuk and Putin see things very differently. At one point Putin placed crippling sanctions on some of Pinchuk’s business dealings in Russia.
At the start of her tenure at State, Hillary presented Sergei Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, with a RESET button to signify a new phase in the US relationship with Russia. Then her foundation accepted an $8.6 million donation from one of Putin’s political opponents.
When Hillary makes statements advocating US policy with regard to Ukraine and Russia, how can we trust that she is not being influenced by large-money donors such as Pinchuk? Was the RESET with Russia a good idea? If so, why is Hillary now so critical of Russia and so supportive of Ukraine? Hillary has stated that Ukraine is at the doorstep of NATO. She failed to mention that Ukraine is also at the doorstep of Russia.
There is a real danger that the conflict in Ukraine could escalate into a full-blown civil war, not unlike the crisis in Syria. The US and NATO could pursue a policy of de-escalation, trying to bring the parties together and ratcheting down tensions. But Hillary has advocated a stronger NATO military presence in Ukraine and the Baltic states. She seems intent on ratcheting up the tensions.
The Russian people are concerned about what they see as NATO aggression.

I honestly do not care what happens to her; she has a right to her opinion (but check out her FB page, and you’ll see that she has but one). I merely followed some publicly available information, through reputable channels, and posted to her enough of it to cause her to threaten me with the FBI (but NOT enough to be called “doxxing”; if anyone wants anything on her, they find it themselves)…and used it to try to teach her that the internet can find out what is fact and what is false.
Doubt that she’ll learn that lesson, as some people get into their comfort zone and stay there like a tick on a wild dog.
